Pasta or pizza? True foodies know that there is no suitable answer to this question. After all, why choose if you can have both? If you count yourself as a proud member of team pasta (we forgive you), you can indulge in these Italian ristoranti and trattorias. Buon appetito!

Trattoria Mangiare

Trattoria Mangiare is one of Eindhoven's most beloved Italian restaurants. Since 2004, they have brought the Italian feeling to the Kleine Berg through pizzas, paninis, pasta, and more. You can relax in the (roofed) courtyard garden with a glass of spumante and one of these incredible dishes: spaghetti vongole and penne salsiccia (with truffle and fennel sausage). 

Kazerne

At Kazerne, you don't devour pasta from a table dressed in a classic red tablecloth while Italian hits play in the background. No, the restaurant in Eindhoven's 'home of design' does things differently. In their restaurant with an industrial vibe, they serve fan-tas-tic pasta by chef Giovanni Gabana. Choosing is impossible; sharing is a must! 

Martini’s

The Martini family knows the Italian cuisine by heart. From meat to fish, lunch to dinner, and pizza to pasta. And let's not forget the perfect scoop of ice cream to top it off. (Who remembers the ice cream stand in the Heuvel Galerie? That was also by Martini’s!) Well, whatever Italian dish your heart desires, you can get it seven days a week at this family restaurant in Victoriapark. 

Happy Italy

Do you love pasta but can't tell the difference between farfalle and tagliatelle? Happy Italy may not be the most authentic place to eat pasta, but it is fast, affordable, and ideally located. Do you know that queue on Catharinaplein? Happy Italy is right there! But don’t worry: it moves quickly. So join the line and treat yourself to a Nutella pizza while you're at it. 

Vapiano

What can we say about Vapiano's: as fast and affordable as their Italian neighbor Happy Italy, and just like them, Vapiano’s is in a great location. Come early if you want to save yourself a spot! People love this place and their fresh pasta. 

Trattoria Manca

Try authentic family recipes from owner Jessica's nonna and mom at her Italian restaurant on Hoogstraat. At Trattoria Manca, you can taste love, stories, and passion in every dish, but perhaps most of all in their plates of pasta. From a classic carbonara (without cream, folks) to their specialty with truffle and cheese from the wheel. Delizioso!

La Fontana

Stratumseind has a party image as the longest nightlife street in the Netherlands. If you’re more into parties on your plate, head to the end of the street, towards the Dommel. Since this is about Italian treasures, we would like to refer you to La Fontana, where you will lose yourself in mom's authentic recipes. 

Italiaans Huis

From cheerful locals to the Italian neighbor, everyone joins the table at Italiaans Huis (Italian House) in Woensel. What for? Pasta! They serve up to 28 different varieties, not counting risottos. We have reviewed the menu for you and like these pasta dishes: tagliatelle with gorgonzola, lasagna salmone, and the stuffed cannelloni. 

Pummarò

Pummarò serves delicious and freshly prepared pasta and a warm vacation feeling. Okay, we know that Eindhoven is not an Italian village. However, with some luck, Trudoplein (courtesy of the Sint Trudokerk and greenery) will feel picturesque. Pair your pasta with a glass of wine, and your evening is made! 

Casa di Veve Spaghetteria @Down Town Gourmet Market

Have you really lived if you've never eaten at Down Town Gourmet Market? Choosing between all the different food concepts is impossible here, but you’re probably craving pasta (if not, what are you still doing on this page?). The choice is simple: order at Casa di Veve, a lovely spaghetteria. 

Urban Food Market

One food market is not like the other. You can't dine on-site at Urban Food Market but can order delicious food. Craving some pasta? Then Italian Heroes comes to the rescue. Or the delivery guy or girl does. For instance, with pasta with a red wine sauce or truffle galore. Prefer a lasagna? Then order lasagna of all shapes and sizes (buongiorno vegan pumpkin lasagna) from Lasagne di mamma.

If there is one street where Italian cuisine is well represented, it is the Dommelstraat. In this pasta paradise, visit Da Verdi for the classics, and imagine yourself in Sicily at Sicilia. Or choose from tortellini, tagliatelle, penne, and more at L'Azzurro and La Dolce Vita.
