Eindhoven Library

Quite an obvious one, but 'de bibliotheek' definitely belongs on this list. The Eindhoven Library is a book lover's dream. Whether you're into cookbooks, thrillers, comics, or thick novels, they’ve got it all — and in loads of languages! Plus, there’s always something fun going on, from language cafés to coding workshops. And let’s not forget, the coffee here is top-notch!

Van Piere is the largest bookstore in Eindhoven and far beyond. The built-in-café serves a variety of yummy cheese cakes and excellent coffees. Located in the former Philips headquarters De Admirant. Fun fact: this bookstore has been around since 1848.

Regional Historical Center Eindhoven

Dive into regional history at the Regional Historical Center Eindhoven. The oldest book here dates back to 1549, so there's plenty to explore! You can schedule a visit on Tuesdays and Thursdays and immerse yourself in their regional collection, which includes books, journals, articles, and bibliographic documents.

Books 4 Life

The great thing about books is that other people can still enjoy them after you have finished them. And vice versa. Books 4 Life sells second-hand books at great prices. Not only can you buy them, but you can also donate your used copies. This bookshop is run entirely by volunteers. As a result, at least 90% of the proceeds go directly to good causes.

Mini library

Although you prefer to see as many books in one place as possible, you will be surprised by the beautiful books you can find in a mini library. In fact, you will be surprised by how many small libraries Eindhoven has to offer. There are as many as 40 scattered throughout the city.
