5x Warming up during GLOW
GLOW is something to look forward to during the dark months every year. Even though the light festival makes you feel warm inside, we bet you could use a hot chocolate or mulled wine after walking the route. Warm yourself up at these official GLOW hotspots!
Gastrobar Luzt
Whether it’s the start of your evening or the end, a visit to Gastrobar Luzt makes your GLOW experience even more enjoyable. Settle down on their heated outdoor space and indulge in their house-brewed beers, which pair perfectly with the Luzt platter. It’s snack heaven for sure!
Grand Café Josh
At Wilhelminaplein, you’ll find Grand Café Josh: a blend of Brabant’s coziness and Art Deco charm. Inside, it’s always a pleasure, but with a bit of luck, they’ll turn on the heaters outside for ultimate GLOW enjoyment. Order yourself a nice glass of wine and a piping hot bitterbal, and the evening will be complete.
Grand Café De Lichttoren
Perfectly central and fully in theme: Grand Café De Lichttoren. Warm up inside with a drink before or after your walk, or even enjoy the outdoor seating. The best part? You’ll find several light installations nearby, like the Symphony of Light in the Emma District.
Brasserie van den Berg
Brasserie van den Berg is always a lively spot, but during GLOW, it gets even more vibrant. Like Grand Café De Lichttoren, Brasserie van den Berg is a prime location along the route—making it the perfect stop before, during, or after your walk. You can not only enjoy a drink (or two) here but also indulge in delicious nibbles or even a full meal. It’s the perfect way to prepare for braving the cold again.
Camp GLOW
For a cozy break by the crackling fire, head to Camp GLOW at the TU/e. This official GLOW pitstop offers outdoor warmth by the fireplace. The perfect spot to sip on hot chocolate topped with a generous swirl of whipped cream. Good to know: there are toilet facilities available—because no one wants to embark on an adventure with a full bladder!
Extra tip: Walking Dinners
If you're a seasoned GLOW attendee, you’ll be familiar with the annual culinary walk. This walk takes you along the entire route, with four extra stops (one for each course) at: Victoria by Goyvaerts, Luzt Gastrobar, Geronimo, and Aprazível.
