As the design capital of the Netherlands, you can discover design throughout Eindhoven, for example, at these design hotspots. Want to get a taste of the atmosphere of Dutch Design Week, Northern Europe's most significant (!) design festival, outside the event? Then visit the following design exhibition spaces!
Baltan Laboratories
Baltan Laboratories is probably not the first space you think of when it comes to exhibitions. Yet you can visit this culturally interdisciplinary lab for various exhibits about design, tech, art, and science and the bridge between them.
Piet Hein Eek
It's not only during Dutch Design Week you can take a peek into the empire of one of the Netherlands' famous designers, Piet Hein Eek. You will also find an exhibition space at Strijp R in addition to his studio, workshop, restaurants, hotel, and showroom. It's an ultimate must-visit!
Kazerne
You may know Kazerne as the Home of Design. The best way to experience that is by visiting their exhibitions. Here they exhibit design from both established and emerging design talent. What makes this place extra fun: is you can enjoy the exhibition for free while indulging in some fine Italian cuisine. Our tip: book a table!
THE POOL
Do you know Sectie-C? One of the nicest incubators in Eindhoven if you ask us. With a bulk of designers (about 200!), a place to exhibit all their work is a must. THE POOL is just that! Also, for off-the-grid parties, for that matter. Hop on your bike, enjoy the beautiful scenery, and enjoy the area.
BioArt Lab
Here's another good old Dutch Design Week gem for you: BioArt Laboratories, which stands for a borderless world that creates a fusion between art, technology, science, and nature. The laboratory is in the green area behind Philips de Jongh Park.
